My Voice Experience
My last actual voice over experience in an employed setting was in 1996 with KSTE radio in Sacramento. I was called upon to do a phony interview with a morning talk show host as Jack Nicholson post premiere party for the movie, Mars Attacks. Fooled a few people that day. Since that time I've moved on and have been trying to get into the voice business ever since. In the last 5 months I've been working with Ray Nakamoto to produce a demo in order to get my voice out there. Ray's a great guy and thinks I've got what it takes to make it in the voice over business.
My Training
My training includes the voice lessens and demo with Ray Nakamoto studios in the last 3-5 months. My education is in the Journalism field in which I have achieved a B.A. Degree. I worked for both KSTE 650 and KFBK 1530 in Sacramento for two years in the mid-nineties and have my own movie review website, Dog's Moviehouse, at www.sportsguypatwalsh.com. I've been working on that site for the past two years.
My Studio Equipment
I have a Blue Yeti Studio USB Microphone and Shure Headphones. I use the Audicity Software on my computer for recording and editing sound and two computers: one desktop and one laptop, upon which I do my recording.
Additional Skills
I am very directable (what a sports enthusiast would call "coachable." Tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it within a couple of takes. I am also punctual. I don't miss work with my regular job and I won't miss any work here. You will find me to be easy to work with and very collaborative and open to any new ideas that might be suggested.
