Voice Description

I believe I would do well with books especially, reading in multiple character inflections and accents. I can also set my voice into moods well my favorite being sultry and alluring. I have a knack for picking up accents from all over. My voice is well projected and calm but fun. My tone is on the lower side, as I sing alto. I can be professional yet interesting and engaging for more serious speaking and presentations. I am willing to learn and expand my abilities.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

So far I have acquired Southern US as a doting southern style mom, Canadian, New Yorker being very aggressive and stubborn, and a small amount of Hawaiian being laid back and taking a beach surfer feel. I can fall into British very easily for many fantasy roles, or a stuck up school director.

My Voice Experience

I have only yet entertained friends in person and over voice chat. This is my first attempt to try something that I have always dreamed of doing since I started copying how people speak off the radio and tv.

My Training

I was in Community College for 2 years before becoming married and moving away from the area. Being seriously interested in how voice over works I acquired media clips on how the recent 3D animation explosion has improved syncing the actor's own facial expressions into the character for a more real feel.

I was a steady member of a group choir from the age of 8 until I was 18. We focused on religious music mainly but there were many opportunities for individual solos in which I was able to participate.

Additional Skills

Currently a stay at home mom with a lot of down time. I usually spend my time working on certain crafts or projects that include my love for being creative. This of course leaves me a pretty open and flexible schedule. Mostly as of late i have been using the voice over services in Second Life to add a voice to my "in-world" character. I find it highly enjoyable to create a persona and live it out to the fullest extent that the internet can currently provide.
I pride myself in having an above average vocabulary and expanding that vocabulary as much as possible.
