I am a native English speaker (US) but can mimic many European dialects & accents. I can also read, & pronounce Spanish as well as a native speaker. My voice is warm & mature without sounding like a specific age (unless called for) for various narrations & presentations; fun for commercials & upbeat spots. Overall, I have a friendly, pleasant & professional sound that I can alter as needed to suit the piece I am recording.

My Voice Experience

I have a total of 5 years of voice over experience. Most recently (2002-present), I am the "voice of GEICO", the 4th largest auto insurance company in the US. I currently work closely with their Media dept, recording their on-hold messages, corporate training videos & tutorials, public relations spots (highlight current events throughout the company) and radio spots (announcing our emergency claims services in areas hard hit by natural catastrophe).

I also have an extensive background in character voice. From 1994-1997, I was a principal voice artist on a cable access children's TV show in Orlando, FL known as "Pet Celebrities" (in conjunction with Intervision Productions & VCTV). I recorded all of the female character voices for each show, as well as the bumps & teases in natural voice. I have also done narration for corporate video (American Leisure Group Travel Services) and various radio spots (Hair O'the Dog Pub).

My Training

I have no formal training in voice artistry, just a naturally good voice that conveys emotion & warmth. I am an excellent "sight reader" & can typically record in one take, even with a cold read.

I was a professional stand-up comedian from 1994-1997 which led to work in voice overs and I believe that my extensive stage experience greatly influences my capabilities as a voice over artist.

I have great oral & written communication skills; I am extremely comfortable in front of or behind the camera & especially so when speaking & presenting information to groups of people. I am a natural performer & have a high level of confidence for public speaking, presenting, or training. I currently work as a Human Resources professional at GEICO where I co-facilitate our 2-day orientation program. Every 2 weeks, I speak in front of groups from 12-30 people & present various segments about GEICO to new associates.
