I've been in broadcasting for nearly 40 years. I can read news, do certain voices such as an old man, pirate, goofy, and Elroy Jetson. I would love to do audio books, documentaries or commercials. Bottom line...if you need a voice, let's talk.

My Voice Experience

I've been in radio broadcasting since 1969...started when I was 16 years old. During that time I've been an on-air announcer for Top 40 and country music formats. I've read the news, done a bazillion commercials and I also have a 2 hour daily talk show. My voice is authoritative but I can also be light-hearted. I can do some characterizations such as a pirate, old prospector, scary like Dracula and I do a mean Elroy Jetson!

My Training

I've been MC at various events over the years...I've read narrations along with the regular broadcast work.

My Studio Equipment

We have four studios, three of them have the Harris 12 channel Impulse audio consoles. Each studio is equipped with Electrovoice RE-20 microphones and CD players. I can record and edit digitally and save audio files in MP3 and many other formats.

Additional Skills

I've been in broadcasting most of my life. I grew up on a farm and also farmed for several years so I have an agricultural background. I also am the Chief Engineer for the local group of stations so I can be technical as well. I'm also the IT director at our group so I'm very familiar with computers.
