My Voice Experience

While pursuing a successful career in print journalism—starting as a sportswriter, before moving into magazine ownership and writing best-selling sports books—I have always kept one foot in the audio realm. (Growing up around my family's radio stations, I landed my first paying commercial gig—for a local donut shop—when I was seven.) Later I worked as a local TV sports announcer and hosted two syndicated radio segments about college football. You may have heard my voice as an expert commentator on ESPN, HBO, CBS, CNBC, and a long list of national and local radio programs. In recent years, I have narrated one feature-length political documentary and several commercial projects, including a film for a new golf course in suburban Atlanta; voiced several commercials; and hosted a popular college football podcast.
