I have been involved in audio production for over 30 years. I worked my way through college, reading audiobooks for the blind. I'm now the Executive Producer of a nationally syndicated radio show, and I have an ear for what works... as well as a voice for the job. I am also a podcaster, and I produce four podcasts each week
I've been doing professional presentations for many years, including at Fidelity Investments. I'm the Executive Producer of Women In Music with Laney Goodman, heard on over 90 markets nationwide each week.
When conveying technically or financially complex information to the audience, it's critical to communicate with them at their level and as a peer, not an "outsider" who won a voiceover job. It's vital to speak with a voice of authority, and to convey information with confidence. I have been in the financial services industry for over 15 years, and I am also a subject matter expert in internet technologies, J2EE, .Net, and a wide variety of networking and software areas. I have worked as a technical writer, a software engineer, a web developer, and I have been producing podcasts since 2005. I am a quick study and I am very knowledgeable about technical terminology. While some voice providers may know how to pronounce technical words , it's clear they haven't actually worked in the subjects they are narrating. I have, and I know how to convey information to technical folks, as a peer, not a "stand-in".
