Kay has over 15 years experience in vocal performances and past work history in Television, Radio, and Broadcasting. Prior to her current profession, she worked for ABC News Station and for National Public Radio (NPR). Kay has an international voice tone. She has been contacted by various organizations such as Families Under Urban & Social Attack, Inc & U.S Dream Academy Inc for professional presentations. She has voiced several commercial spots for KVLU 91.3 (NPR) network.
Kay received her BA in Mass Communication (TV, Radio and Broadcasting) and minor in Vocal Performance and MA degree in Counseling. Kay continues to take professional voice, diction, and tone classes to enhance her voice and vocal performances. Her training includes classes in basic and advanced voiceover work, as well as on-stage acting, singing, and audio prompter. She can pick up in the middle of a recording with a nearly perfect pitch.
Kay is also a motivational speaker. She enjoys onstage performing and character work. She is a professional Therapist and can use psychiatric terminology with ease. She is trained in classical voice and piano. In her spare time Kay enjoys spending time with her five nephews. She has volunteered for organizations such Aids Foundation Houston, Texas Children Hospital, and I Have A Dream Program. She is a member of several advisory boards and is often highlighted as a keynote speaker. When not volunteering, she likes to work out, ballroom dance, golf, and walk her dog. She has worked with people from various backgrounds and is very versatile in her delivery. Kay can think fast and on the spot if needed. She takes directions very well and extremely easy to work with. Kay is timely and is very professional.
