My Voice Experience

At one point in my life my first love was in front of the camera and I was once involved in a sitcom pilot that was being shopped to television networks. I played the mother who is shocked when her daughter presents her with a new son-in-law.

I previously worked a 28 year career in Customer Service, Training and Customer Relations at Dominion Virginia Power. At Dominion Virginia Power, I excelled in the training portion that incorporated real time role-play excercises with newly hired Customer Service Representatives. While playing the role of the customer, I enjoyed creating characters and voices that mimic the every day customer that called in the Call Center for varies customer service request (i.e., High bill complaints, disconnection of services due to non-payment, new service requests etc.). Within the training curricullum, we recorded and utilized approximately 80 different role-play exercises per Representative and I could create voice characterizations that ranged from the following...crying older lady, angry military male (officer), angry military (officer) wife, angry female(lower class), angry female (middle class), angry female (upper class), very southern lady (pleasant), very southern man (not so bright), religious southern lady, angry oriental lady, stuttering lady with an attitude, pompous Senator/Congressman and more.
