I was born in Chicago, and raised in Elmwood Park, so most people can relate with the inner city accent or suburban "deez, demmz, and doze", and I always could 'talk a lot'. Could do a good Polish, European, Italian, Jewish types....I think I could make just about anything work. I also love watching Discovery and National Geographic - which would be an honor to narrate. I love watching people, hearing people, and observing the every day "types". After 'growing up', and getting into the business world, people have always laughed at things I said, how I said them, while others said I can be dry, hilarious, very dramatic and could be an actress. People have always commented on my voice, I can be very funny, very wry, very facially expressive, or over dramatic, witty sense of humor. So thirty years in the corporate world led me speaking at corporate business conferences, that I can have a very authoritative, friendly, sincere, professional business voice, can sound very knowledgeable or very important!! ~ but could elicit humor where needed. I would LOVE to use my "Chatty Kathy" voice, and put it to good use!! I could dig up an audio cassette of a conference I did but it was more than 6 years ago, and may be lost. (speaking on a panel for the Employee Relocation Conference in Cleveland, OH), training Realtors while I was with Coldwell Banker Real Estate and Prudential Relocation 15 year ago.
Corporate training, speaking, sang in choir at Concoria College in River Forest, IL. I've had my husband's business clients ask me to do their voice mail and phone answering systems.
Published Author for a relocation magazine "Mobility".
I took only one formal public speaking class while I worked for Prudential relocation, which at 20 years ago, was videotaped so you could watch ourself.
Corporate trained speaker. No formal training, only training by doing, i.e. corporate speaking events, and training sessions, and seminars where I had to speak in fron of a group. Also by listening to Sigourney Weaver, Michael Douglass, Robert Redford, etc. My husband and I try to guess the name of the celebrity! ~
I can speak and have voice talent, but I do not have the techncal knowledge about audio engineering.
I do have access to video and audio production equipment (see 360scenes.tv web site), where I work as their SVP Marketing and Consulting, Business Growth and Web Site Maximization.
Full video and voice capability, all equipment is owned by 360Scenes.TV a family run business.
PASSSION, professional, high level corporate trained business background, disciplined, organized, self doer, and self thinker, and Passion Passion passion!!! for the Arts, Movies, Music, Science, The Planet, Animals, Nature, documentaries, as well as comedians who are known for their funny voices, i.e. "Coffee Tawlk, so ge-head and tawlk amongst yawrselves". Lived in NY in Manhattan, for business, where they thought I was a native, and also traveled to Boston and CT for business, as well as Texas, Mexico, Europe, Spain, Italy, Rome, Germany, and absolutely LOVE hearing the different manners of speaking "from Las Vegas to NY waitresses cracking their gum". Very perceptive, a watcher, a listener, and very keen on how people "sounded" and "came across" to others!!. trying to make a transition, due to being laid off from my big corporate job in the banking industry. Fair amount of conference and training speaking over the past 30 years.
