My Voice Experience

I conquered a Monster. Since I was a young girl, I had a stuttering problem. I went to speech therapy to no avail. Stuttering caused me so much distress that I wouldn't volunteer for anything that would bring this problem to light. It was a monster to me; it terrified me and crippled me. After I became saved, I knew that I couldn't run from this monster any longer. As those in my church asked me to teach or do a presentation I would accept the challenge. Usually, the night before I would perform, I couldn't sleep, eat or concentrate very well, however, I did it anyway. As I began to speak regardless of the outcome, I found that I have a gift in the very area that I spent most of my life running from. I am very thankful that I am not afraid of the monster that was tormenting me, it(the monster of stuttering)ran away.

My Training

30years as a leadworker at the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. I went to supervisory seminars and had training in speaking with patients, doctors, interns, etc., explaining the nuances of the position and people that I supervised.
