My Voice Experience

I have never done voice over work but have been told by many people that I work with that I should do it because of my range of characters I can imitate. I had a job once in a hotel at the front desk that required me to contact the maintenance men on the radio and they always loved my voice and would comment on it many times. I have worked as a receptionist/switchboard operator many times over the years and received many comments about how pleasing or professional I sounded or that maybe I should consider doing "adult" commercials because I can also sound very sexy if the situation presents itself.

My Training

The only training I have ever received for my voice came from watching and listening to people and characters on television and in movies. My years as a recept/switchboard oper. has also helped me to maintain professionalism at all time no matter what mood I may be in and to always answer the phone with a smile because it comes across in your voice. You also have to learn to tell little white lies about your boss not being in and he's standing right in front of you but the person on the other end of the phone belives you because you are so convincing and come across as not lying where he is.
