My Voice Experience

I started my voice over experience as a radio host at WBEE Jazz and Blues (which is now gospel). My first experience learning production, copy and editing of commercials and promos.

While attending Columbia College Chicago, I interned at a local radio station and was literally walking down the hall and one of the dj's asked me if I wanted to record a commercial for him. So that year I did 3 commercials.

2003- radio commercials:

2005- I was part of a radio drama at Columbia College, "The Long Road" by Richard Durham. I was narrator and lead voice of Mary Church Terrell.

2008- Dvd Narration of a Business presentation, "Redemption".

2009- Narration/AudioBook of a family history,"From Taproots to Tendrils".

2010- Narration/Documentary,"Black Genocide:21st Century Chicago".

2010- Host/VoiceOver, "Eye On Independent Films".

Additional Skills

As I studied broadcast media, I became passionate about perfecting my skills in voice artistry. I have learned that being a voice talent involves so much more than just having a 'nice' voice. It is about learning, studying, practicing, being precise and disciplined to be the best I can be.

I love to read things outloud. Especially to children to see their reactions. I love motivational and inspirational stories and quotes. I love entertainment news.

I have a great attention to details and I always look for a polished, finished product. With my jobs of being a host and doing videography work, editing and working with sound, it gives me the experience I need to perfect my voice-over skills.
