My Voice Experience

I have only done one voice job in the past. I worked for a Chiropractor and gave a testimonial on a radio commercial. During the time it was used, my recording was repeated over and over. When I did the recording, I was told that I could do this for a living.

I did this at Station, in 1990.

I have experience in public speaking and I used to teach Elementary school. There I had to change my voice through out the day to control my class, keep their attention and make the lessons fun.

I haven't done a lot of voice training but I have been in Choirs most of my life. I have done plays and musicals for my Church.

Additional Skills

When you work as a teacher it's really important to devlope your tone of voice. At first I was talk to kindly and the students would try to take advantage of me. I learned how to change my voice so they would show me respect. I learned how to do this with out making them fear me.

This comes in handy when I'm dealing with my 9 year old daughter.

I love to read stories and change my voice for each character. I visualize the character and think of it's personality and find a voice to match.
