My voiceover career began in childhood, at the Center for Communication and Education Technology at the University of Alabama. I'd record descriptive narration for a children's nature documentary, or keep following along on the teleprompter after the shot had already shifted off of us "news anchors." In high school I recorded the innermost thoughts of Anne Frank, to be played during our theatrical performances of her diary. Nowadays I pick up odds and ends at the local radio stations, from spooky Halloween spots to geeky jaunts at the Renaissance Faire.
I grew up doing musical theatre and dreaming of New York. I attended the Tisch School at NYU, more specifically Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. I am well-trained in voice and speech, including standard American IPA and numerous dialects and accents. I hold a BFA in Theatre from NYU, and continue to work professionally in theatre and musical theatre regionally. I currently study voice-over with Deborah Richards at Creative Studios of Atlanta.
