My Voice Experience

I've worked with many industry experts associated with New York's Edge Studio, privately and in group workshops. I have taken courses to learn the business side of voice over, and vocal training workshops to learn the performance side, and I continue to do so.

My demos consist of "real takes" (not multiple takes edited together), so it's a true, real-world demonstration of the range I provide.

Although the demo contains short clips (the usual practice for demos), I can also provide long-form narration, having practiced this extensively and being in good vocal shape.

I have performed in a number of realistic practice auditions at Edge Studio, have done on-camera commercial work, and have worked in front of large groups as a trainer, am comfortable at the microphone and work efficiently and with humor in the booth.

After establishing my onsite fully-equipped audio studio, I took multiple courses on editing and studio operation.

I'm always pleased to help anyone make their business sound better.

My Training

Over-educated with B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. I'm a published historian. I trained at Edge Studio in New York City, and am involved with all ongoing training available - a constant learner as well as performer.

My Studio Equipment

I use a MXL V88 mic and TASCAM US-144MKII interface and preamp selected with the help of a professional audio engineer to best capture the clarity and warmth of my voice, ensuring your recordings sound clear and pleasant. In fact, I generally work without the ubiquitous "pop-stopper," able to control my voice production without the not-so-subtle muffling of the pop-stopper.

I am familiar with several European languages - German, Russian, Polish, and to a lesser degree French. I can translate German, Russian and Polish into English.
