My Voice Experience

My experience includes a number of years as a child who was a ham radio enthusiast that spent a lot of time on citizens band radio. My interest in the spoken arts includes the making of commercials and the conducting of talk shows on a radio station operated from my college dorm room at Midwestern College, Denison, Iowa. I also shared in the operationowned of a multiplex am/fm radiostation, WLCB, in New Rochelle, N.Y. with 4 other teenage entreneur where I also conducted a radio talk show and music entertainment as a broadcast announcer. Our skills and talents were so desired that we were offered positions as announcers by WVOX president, Bill O'Shaunessy.

My Training

I am a writer at heart using my literary skills to convey my thoughts in a personal manuscript or a report as the results of an investigation when I was a deputy U.S. Marshal or a NYS parole officer. I often conveyed my thoughts through feelings felt from the inflections in my voice to the periodic highs and lows in the presentation of drama and priorities where needed. I trained in the performing arts at Midwwestern College under the direction of Al Ruscio, Professor of drama at the time of my attendence. Al Ruscio played in the Cliff Hanger Series of gangster movies in the 50's and 60's and played a recent role in the Gdfather series.

I can influence my voiceover techniques with the dramatic affect which is so common to the manhunters known as trackers or warrant officers or fugitive warrant officers who track and bring into custody fugitives from justice under somewhat extreme human conditions. As a parole officer I have been very vivid in being able to convince ex-offenders from participating in criminal activities. Similiarly, I have also counseled families which included the wives and children of the needs which an exoffender strives for to survive in society after incarceration.
