When kidding around, I will pretend to have the southern belle drawl, sometimes even talking like other people/characters (for example, those with whom I work). I am willing to audition for a character part - could be a cartoon character.

My Voice Experience

I am a member of Toastmasters International. As a member, I developed and delivered my own speeches invoking vocal variety, pitch, sincerity, conviction, etc. I also participated in several Toastmasters' contests, winning at various levels. I presented several workshops during the Toastmasters District conferences and was complemented by many on my delivery and the quality of my voice.

I have recorded voice overs for several toll-free numbers and greetings for my current employer. The greetings were set up as and Interactive Voice Response System. Callers were from the general public as well as professional organizations, such as banks and the Housing industry.

I read (aloud) Scripture readings to my church's congregation one to two times per month and have trained others to read aloud more effectively.

My Training

I completed Dan Levine's Such A Voice Master's class in August 2009. This was such a fantastic experience and inside view of the voice over industry. I look forward to actively being engaged in the industry.

As a Toastmasters' member, I received training on how to deliver effective speeches invoking skills to attract and hold the audience's attention making my speeches believable and/or funny.

Additional Skills

I am a civilian employee with the United States Government. In my current job, I am the source of the Telecomunications services offered to our employees. I have conducted training sessions to other staff and written procedural instructions.

I am a Government Technical monitor on several of our Telecommunications contracts. I effectively manage and communicate with the sales and management personnel on these contracts.

As a result of my Toastmasters training and skills, I enjoy and am confident in doing presentations before groups of people. I have done this at my club level and with larger groups of people/members.
