My Voice Experience

My love for recording voice came when I first put on a headset and became an internet radio DJ 3 years ago. As I obtained more courage I became bolder and began recording commercials and liners for the stations I worked with. Some of the stations still play my promos and PSA's and I've been told along the way that my voice is natural for recording. I have to say that it is a passion for me. I currently own my own internet radio station and do keep active as a DJ but my real passion is in recording the advertisements.

My Training

I was an English Major in college but never really pursued a literary career. I have spent most of my life in business administration and sales. My training in the area of voice over is limited simply to my having to perform in music as I was growing up. I was on the public speaking and debating team in high school but never pursued any formal training in college. Most of the recording experience I have today is from the experience I gained through being a DJ and the extensive backgrounds and talents of those who worked with me on the staff, some having come from formal training in this area. I gained quite a bit of experience through their willingness to share, critique and help mold me along the way.

My Studio Equipment

I have a studio for my online radio station and djing. The room is sound proof and the acoustics are great for recording. I have headset and microphone and several recording software packages that I use to do alot of my own mixing, cutting and editing.

Additional Skills

In general I am a bubbly and warm person with a lot of charisma. I take on just about any challenge that is presented to me and I never let go until I am 200% satisfied with the way it sounds. I am critical about my own work and very driven to make it perfect. I have been involved in so many different industries in life and have met the demands of so many different kinds of people that I feel I can relate to just about any given situation. I have had a lot of people contact and opportunities to perform both in business and in life having spent quite a bit of time in sales.
