My Training
A native to the New York stage for over ten years, Kali Karagias has performed in many off-Broadway productions and has acted with various sketch groups throughout the city including Bangers n' Mash and Intermission, both groups performing to sold-out shows. Whether it was reviewing films for cable's Metro Network or fostering her off-Broadway own-woman show, A Life of Self-Sabotage, Kali always seems to rediscover the overlooked comedy in every day life.
In August of 1999, she began producing, writing, and directing ADD TV, a funny and entertaining television show satirizing the world of television. Within the show are many of the characters she has written and augmented over the years. Since the show's completion in the fall of 2002, ADD TV has been well received by audiences.
When Kali is not honing her skills as a performer, she enjoys developing projects with other up-and-coming artists. This past January, Kali shot a music video (Black Girl) for the Los Angeles based rock-n-soul band, Little Sista, a group featured in Music Connection Magazine's, The Hottest 100 Unsigned Bands. She has also written the dark and despondent screenplay, Skinz, around the musical score of the band's first album, Revolution, with hopes of producing the film in the near future.
In March, Kali produced a promotional video for Arc Entertainment, the premiere pre-wedding party planner in Los Angeles frequently featured in People Magazine. She was also the east coast producer for the reality TV pilot, Bride's Night Out.
