Voice Description
Character and animation voices are my particular passion, although I've done a lot of radio voiceover work as an upbeat and youthful guy. My native accent is American (neutral); although I can speak Dutch and Swedish with a slight accent (or with an outrageous American accent if needed).

My Voice Experience
Originally from the United States, I began working as a voice actor in Ireland, supplying American accents for various radio and TV commercials, as well as cartoons and feature length animation. Past big-name, fancy-pants clients include Budweiser, Microsoft, Volkswagen, MG Rover, Baileys, Bank of Ireland, among others. In addition to TV and radio commercials, I have collaborated with major animation studios like the Emmy award winning Magma Productions and A. Film, supplying both ADR and original voices for animation; I co-starred as "Teen Ugly" in the feature length animated film The Ugly Duckling and Me. I've also worked on documentary narration, and a variety of online media projects including podcasts. Having trained as a sound engineer, and having worked on a variety of projects in the past (radio, TV, internet and film) I can take direction well, and am happy to breathe life into a script.
My Training
I obtained a BA in linguistics from the University of Vermont, and studied Sound Engineering and Music Technology at the Sound Training Centre in Dublin Ireland. Throughout college and after, I performed on stage as both an actor and a musician, and appeared regularly on Dublins FM 104 performing musical comedy and comedic sketches for morning radio. All of these experiences had me working with, near, on, and close to microphones, from which a career in voice acting was born. Having spent a lot of time both in front of the mic as a voice over artist and behind the mixing board as an engineer, I can take direction well, offer a variety of reads as needed, and can understand the value of studio time.

Additional Skills
Having nearly finished PhD in psychology, I won't (necessarily) be scared of academic related projects, or projects with lots of big fancy words. If you require a little extra help proofreading, editing or even writing your copy - for advertising , scripts or video games - I will be happy to lend a hand if I can. Having published peer reviewed scientific articles, book chapters for popular science publications, translations (from Dutch to English), comedic essays, corporate documentation, and much more over the years, I will be happy to turn a critical eye to your writing if needed.
