Voice Description

I am a native speaker of Arabic, French and English being my second languages, but I am told I sound native in both also.
I can be sexy, smooth, quirky, and professional, depending on the job.
Being a children's story time reader and teller, I can change my voice to create scary, goofy, and gentle characters, very appropriate for cartoon characters.
As a singer, I can also change my voice to match the mood in a song.
I have multiple personalities: I can become a Parisian tourist in America, a Middle Eastern character, an Indian professor, and a lost Italian.
In terms of dialects, I can become a New Yorker, Southern Belle, and pick up other dialects easily.
Unusual talent in animal voices: dogs, cats, cows, ducks, and a very good chicken. Also I can sound like wind instruments with my mouth, mainly trumpet and saxophone.

My Voice Experience

20 years experience as a character actor, singer and teacher: industrial commercial work for Media People (Chrystler First, Alentown, PA), French voice-over for Holt Rinehart French education books (Austin,TX) Jazz singer for Austin Jazz Workshop.
As a music teacher for elementary students, I have used my voice as a tool to keep their attention and entertain while teaching, like using dialects or singing in different styles, even imitating instruments like the trombone, muted trumpet, and guitar.
I am also a regular featured reader/story teller for elementary students where I use my voice in bringing characters to life.

My Training

many years of experience as an actor in different settings.
Voice lessons which help make my voice clear , teach me techniques to keep my voice healthy when doing characters, and expand on my use of the microphone.
I have an hour on air live at at Austin Information Radio, a closed circuit radio frequency for the blind.
I am a reader for the Reading For the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D) organization, where I record textbooks in English and in French.
