I have been singing since I can remember. I probably started singing before I started talking! One of my childhood dreams has always been to sing for a Disney film.I started private music lessons on voice, piano and guitar at the age of nine, and throughout high school and college performed both originals and covers (including some Disney tunes) for school, local clubs, and community performances. I have spent lots of time in the studio since graduating college recording both demos for songwriters and backup vocals for artists. Although I am new to the commercial voice-over trade, I am an old hat when it comes to being in the studio and I am very comfortable sightreading and memorizing. I have nailed vocals down often in just one or two takes. I listen to direction, take criticism and advice seriously, and am willing to work hard to give the very best performance 100% of the time.
Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude graduate 2001 with a BA in Songwriting/Vocal Studies. I have recorded lead demos for songwriters and have tracked backing vocals for Sacramento-based artists like David Houston and Anton Barbeau. I am a multi-instrumentalist who has also tracked keyboards, bass and guitar for commercial recording artists and I have been a vocal coach for students of all ages and levels for 5+ years. I also have countless hours of live performance experience both as a singer and instrumentalist for many bands of many genres.
Garageband on MacBook, but have access to ProTools LE, Logic, and mixing board, as there is a recording studio in my place of residence.
I know all kinds of song forms including jingle-writing, and I have written jingles before for school recording projects. I scored a short film in 2008 ("The Next Gift") and I have a library of songs I've recorded that are available for licensing. I also play guitar, bass and piano and I have good sightreading skills.
