Voice Description

I have never performed any voice work other than being a vocalist in many choir and solo musical performances. I have often been told that my voice is warm, sexy, rich and musical. I can sound like a little girl, sweet, a bit high-pitched. I can talk with very realistic accents (especially Spanish accents). I can easily change my voice to reflect the dialogue I am speaking (i.e. serious, with smooth, precise enunciation or warm and sexy with musical undertones, etc)

I can speak with a Spanish accent but can easily learn most accents - I did this for fun in high school and college for theater and vocal class.

Currently, I have no professional experience but I am a quick learner and hard worker.

My Training

I was a member of the Louisiana All-State Choir throughout high school as well as a member of the Advanced Choir as a freshman until graduation. I was a fine arts scholarship winner at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia for my musical ability including voice, viola and piano. While at Wesleyan, I was a member of the choir and was accepted as a member of the elite a-capella group, The Wesleyannes, with whom I was able to travel the U.S. performing at different venues. I was a member of the theater group while at Wesleyan where I had many different roles, one of which was an old woman who sang everything she wanted to say. While in college, I took communications courses, many music literature courses as well as private voice instruction. I did not graduate Wesleyan but did complete two years.

Additional Skills

I am very knowledgeable about computers and how to use them. I have been using computers since I was approximately two years old (my father was a computer programmer in the 60's and 70's thus my exposure). I am a quick study with any programs I have been asked to utilize in the past. I am a skilled typist. I currently work as a legal transcriptionist from home. I have a microphone that I use to communicate over the internet with, other than that, I don't have any other "audio equipment" that could be utilized at my home. I am open to purchasing equipment for home should that become necessary to fulfill a voice position. Thank you for your consideration!
