Voice Description

Julian Lawrence's voice is a great choice when needing something energetic, edgy, young and hip. He is also able to convey a folksy, friendly and sincere quality in his reads, or, when called for, a more deadpan, dry performance. There is a slight quirkiness to his timbre that can be modulated to hint at wide-eyed innocence, or something sinister lurking just around the corner. For narrations, the voice is warm and deep, with a full-bodied resonant quality. For presentations he delivers clean, clear, professional recordings, even with highly technical material.

He can also do a mean imitation of Neil Diamond's singing style, though he doubts this will ever prove useful.

My Voice Experience

Julian Lawrence's career as a professional voiceover began in Ann Arbor, MI, when he recorded a series of articles for the Erdody Foundation. He now resides in New York. He is also a singer, pianist, performer and recording artist.

My Training

Julian Lawrence has studied singing for many years and has developed a sense of vocal control, and more importantly, the ability to effectively convey the sentiment and emotion of a group of words to a listener. He has trained in voiceover at The Voice Bank in NYC. He has studied acting for commericals at Weist Barron, and stage acting at Schreiber.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in
Philosophy and English.
