Voice Description

My voice is very articulate and easy to understand. I can range from a very warm, soothing quality to a harsh, loud and aggressive quality.

I do the sweet,innocent voices of babies and young children, the sophisticated, sexy voices of young women, the articulate and educated voice of a mature woman, the shaky, broken voice of an old woman and the cranky voice of an old man. I believe my voice would be suitable especially for audio books but also for narratives, commercials, phone systems, documentaries and the like.

My Voice Experience

Would you like your audience to respond with emotion or be deeply touched and moved or be inspired to take action or even simply to be pleased and entertained? This describes my talent. My experience is in teaching, writing, storytelling and professional reading. I'm new to voice over work but believe that this work is something that I could do very well with my background. I taught in the public school system for 6 years. I served as a professional reader for my church for 3 years. I've been doing storytelling for children and adults privately and publicly for more than 20 years. As a storyteller I record C.D.'s of my storytelling in a professional sound studio and am thrilled with the resulting C.D.'s. I'm hired by schools, storytelling organizations and private parties to entertain and educate.

My Training

I majored in English, Rhetoric and Composition in college. I also received a BA in Liberal Arts as well as a K-8 teaching credential in California. I taught in the public school system for 6 years. I served as a professional reader for my church for 3 years and before I did this reading, I had professional reading lessons from a credentialed teacher. I've had formal voice training for singing from 4 different professional voice teachers for several years.
