My Voice Experience

Native of Memphis, Tennessee native, home has been in the Tampa Bay area since 1981. Versatile career as broadcast producer and manager, composer/lyricist/recording artist, heritage tour leader, and instructor/lecturer.

Stephens College (Columbia, MO) graduate with BA (magna cum laude) and BFA (cum laude) degrees in Broadcast Communications and Music. Career beginning as Tampa Bay’s WPLP/News-Talk Radio as Traffic Director, then Executive Producer, then Operations Manager. Heard in commercials, public service programming, and as weekly talk host. Studio recording, music performance, and composition with simultaneous radio or voice over career as producer and announcer for 27 years. Speak and sing in concert, for colleges, universities, study groups, civic and religious organizations, and conventions/expos/seminars. A repertoire of thousands of songs. Operate Tune-of-the-Century Music® studios in the Tampa Bay/West Central Florida area with husband, Mark. Give lectures and concerts worldwide. Produce, mix, and master various recording projects, both musical and spoken word, in my studio and at remote locations. Active session musician, have been studio vocalist/keyboardist/composer for advertising, educational, and entertainment productions on TV, radio, cable, internet. Songwriting, Addy, and Silver Angel Awards.

Instructor, speaker, and concert artist with the University of South Florida’s OLLI Institute (Tampa), Eckerd College OLLI Institute (St. Petersburg), Eckerd College Elderhostel, Brandeis University Study Group (Boca Raton), Senior Summer School (Miami) and others. Programs consistently rated among the highest (5 stars) by students of all ages. Contributing writer to the 2007 edition of the Encylopedia Judaica. Photos have appeared in newspapers, magazines, journals, and internet sites from around the world. Received appointments to the Florida Artist Residency Directory in 1996 and 1999, funded by the State Division of Cultural Affairs. [Artist Residencies place practicing, professional artists in Florida Schools and Community Colleges to teach all aspects of their art form.] Have received two Arts Resource Fund performance arts grants from the Pinellas County Arts Council.
