My Voice Experience
My first experience with using my voice for a purpose was with the grade school choir. However, I can't imagine I sounded very good then. In college, I got a job answering phones for a retirement home in San Francisco. After college, I went to the Peace Corps, where I taught English as a foreign language. Upon returning, I earned a master's degree in public administration at Indiana University. My experience as a federal bureaucrat included six years in a position at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that required quite a bit of public contact, including making presentations.
For three years after that, I taught social studies subjects for a public high school in Arlington, VA.
My Training
Voice over coaching provided by Michael Minetree in 2007. Brief experience as a radio dj while in high school. I have created and distributed my own podcasts. My volunteer work includes recording books with Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic. I spent three years as a classroom teacher, where speaking with authority is important. While in high school and college, I was a member of the competitive speech teams, where I learned to speak clearly and with conviction.

I spent three years in the Peace Corps where I had to learn two languages - Portuguese and a local dialect known as Criolou.
