My Voice Experience

I began doing recordings as an artist and came to learn that I truly love the whole production process. I then began to do custom recordings for people. For example: slideshows narration, fun kid songs, informative presentations, etc.

My Training

After I developed a passion for recording and producing I decided I wanted to really hone in on my skills and become an audio engineer/producer/artist. I wanted to really educate myself so that I could become well rounded not only from a creative stand point but from a technical and business perspective as well.
I attended a course through the Recording Connection in Los Angeles, California, who set me up in a professional studio in Mobile, Alabama. The studio is called Dogwood Productions and my mentor/teacher, Ray Norman, is a voiceover genius. Seventy-five percent of Dogwoods business is from voiceovers and Ray is the producer. Ray also is the voiceover talent from time to time. Here, I was able to see firsthand real how the whole process worked with real clients on a professional level.

Upon receiving my audio engineers certificate, I interned at The Lodge Studios in Indianapolis, In. Here I was not only an intern but an assistant audio engineer. I seen first hand on a daily basis a wide range of projects from publishing, to voiceovers, to bands mixing and mastering sessions.
