Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Regional US accents (not just "southern" but Texas, Carolinias, Ozark, Virginia, Louisiana, Georgia, as well as New York, New Jersey, California, Boston, etc.), Irish (both realistic and cartoon), Scottish (both realistic and cartoon), Proper British (Varying Classes), Cockney, Australian, Russian, German, Romanian... basically if you want it ask and I'll figure it out if I don't all ready have it down.

My Voice Experience

I started acting on stage as a child and eventually began making my own movies in the 6th grade. I have always acted in my, and others' films, from that point on. I have been cast as varying roles in countless student films and have done voice-over work for numerous documentaries and narrative films. i have also done voice-work for animation.

I am a teacher and presenter and so I am very comfortable speaking in front of a crowd but can bring that same level of energy and dynamism when speaking in front of a camera or into a microphone.

My Training

I attended acting classes in grade school and have basically been on my own since then. I write, direct, act, edit, and compose music for my own films (and for commercial clients).

I have 2 degrees in Film: My B.S. from Missouri State university and my M.F.A. from the University of Utah. I acted continuously during my schooling and have continues to do so since.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to shotgun (short) and lavaliere microphones readily (and can access others upon request). I edit with Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack Pro at home but also know Protools and Avid.

I have taught Intro to Audio and Sound Design before and so I understand the psychology of mixing sound as well as the mechanics of mixing.

Additional Skills

I am passionate about storytelling in any form and feel very strongly in favor of education. I was raised by a history buff and share his interest in history. I love anything creative and am a very hands-on person with a working knowledge of home-repair, furniture making, interior design, and film making.

I also have experience in boxing, judo, and am very interested in competition and athletics.

I studies music for 6 years and have a great appreciation for varying forms of music.

Again, I am an experienced teacher so narration work and any type of instructional voice-work comes very easily to me but I am also an experienced actor so the creative aspect and performance involved in commercial TV/ Radio is also a good fit.
