My demo on file demonstrates that I have the ability to do commercials that one would see on TV or hear on the radio. I can do some voice impressions of characters. I am also interested in doing books on tape, and I volunteer for the agency known as Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic, although right now I am a director, not a recorder as yet. I also have some sports update demos I have produced.
I graduated from the CSB School of Broadcasting. I graduated from Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ with an Associate's Degree in Radio Broadcasting, I DJ'd at the public radio station on campus for a number of years, did production work, and co-hosted a sports talk show on the station that ran for 18 months. In addition, for 7 months in 2010 I hosted a program on a local Catholic station in NJ called "Laborers for the Harvest." In interviewed catholic priests on this program to talk about their vocations in honor of the "Year of the Priest" in the Church last year.
I have a professional microphone and Adobe Audition software. I also have access to other professional studios in my area. I can produce at my local CSB campuses in NJ; there are two nearby.
I am reliable, and if someone is asking for a demo or a script to be recorded, I can be relied upon to get the job done before the deadline has to be met. I also have a social work background and work part time as a board operator for Sirius-XM Radio in NYC. I have very good interviewing skills. I prepare well for shows, and can come up with things "on the fly." I have had to do that many times when interviewing (the conversation does not always go as planned), and once I interviewed a Congressman on the air; I had 10 minutes notice I was even going to do this! Everyone who heard it said I sounded as if I had prepared it over time.
