My Voice Experience

It all started way back in my youth growing up in Flint, Michigan during the late 70's, it was a turbulent time indeed. Joblessness and poverty were rampant(kinda like today). Necessity being the mother of invention, I started developing characters and voices to amuse and entertain my friends and four brothers (usually to annoyance for the later). I had found my niche in life, however, like most adolescent fantasies it went the way of the jet pilot, fireman, and rock star.

Now don't get me wrong I had never quit doing voices for fun but it wasn't until 2006, after losing my job as a truck driver with General Motors, that it dawned on me, I had never truly enjoyed the varied jobs I had held over the years. As throwing a dart at a map, and luck would have it, I wound up in Salt Lake City, UT.

I made a conscious choice at that time to start doing what I wanted to, so after searching for way to "break in" for a year I landed a job at Power Media Entertainment writing and performing radio jingles and ads for small businesses in the Ogden/Salt Lake Area. The clients included Ed Kenley's Car Barn-Ogden, Mini's Gourmet Cupcakes-Salt Lake City, Spa Depot of Utah-Park City, Good Spirits Bar & Grill-Taylorsville, Save More Products-Ogden and many more.
