Voice Description

I have a deep voice with the ability to deliver messages in a wide range of tones and moods, but my biggest strength and best talent is in the production studio with sound effects, music and technology. I am an expert with computer sound software and -- as you can see from some of my demos -- I can make almost any scene believable with sounds alone. If you have a project in mind but just can't quite make it sound right, then I can help you get it to where you want it.

I have built radio spots for bands, incorporating their music into the read; I have built interview spots where I have taken conversations and edited them to highlight the major points in 30 or 60 seconds; I have built complicated, sound effects heavy spots with characters and music to give the listener something unique and easy to remember.

Plus, I have a good voice. My voice is well trained for clear and distinct delivery for a wide range of applications, I am able to be exuberant for production of high energy messages such as concert and event promotion, I am able to speak in a high-quality narrative voice for documentaries or for audio books. I am capable of producing audio for presentations and training that is clear and instructive while being engaging and not boring.

My Voice Experience

I am employed at a radio station in a non-rated market on the East Coast of the United States. I have experience in writing and recording a variety of radio spots in a range of voice tones and moods. I am experienced with several computer voice recording applications and I am excellent at adding sound effects and music into a message for the perfect feel. I have written and recorded messages for concert promotions, restaurants, community events, small companies, large companies and everything in between.

My Training

I have gained my voice experience by on-the-job-training over years of working in radio. I am college educated but in the field of writing, which helps me understand how people communicate. I have a mastery of the English language and I have worked with words and language all of my adult life.

I have access to a professional recording studio with state-of-the-art microphones, computer equipment, sound effects library and music.

Additional Skills

My education as a student of English has taught me to know how people communicate. This is vital when writing voice copy. I also have a deep love for literature which allows me to understand the beauty of the written word and enables me to communicate that through my voice work. Coupled with further education in marketing, I have a unique ability to understand a commercial message from both the view point of the listener and the advertiser. I am experienced as a Master of Ceremonies for public events in my community and I enjoy addressing an audience, whether that audience is live in front of me or perceived when I am recording in a studio.
