My Voice Experience

I started experimenting with voices when I realized I had a knack for picking up on accents. As a youth, I enjoyed listening to as many accents as I could, allowing me to broaden my knowledge of the world. I dabbled in amusing others with voices through movie quotes and funny quips and was told that I should pursue a career in voice overs.

I was allowed to produce a company training video and was in charge of recording, editing, and doing the VO for the video. Without prior studio experience, I pulled off a 15 minute training video for the company with great success. I have yet to look back since.

I seek out new methods and ranges through personal experimentation and furthering my education in the craft.

My Training

-I graduated from the Arts Institute of Dallas with an Associates of Applied arts in Advertising, allowing me to begin my professional career as a graphic designer, selling ideas through voice and digital mediums.

-I have attended KD Studios to further improve my public ability to portray a persona, broadening my ability to act, but to speak as well.

-I am planning on continuing professional training for VO and will strive to perfect my craft.

Additional Skills

-I was a photojournalist for two years in my high school yearbook which allowed me to exercise public speaking. Had to sell a crowd on buying yearbooks and ad space.

-I was a software sales rep at a local electronics store and a waiter at a big chain restaurant which allowed me to approach customers with unique inflections and tones in order to better suit their needs.

-I graduated from the Arts Institute of Dallas with an Associates of Applied arts in Advertising, allowing me to begin my professional career as a graphic designer, selling ideas through voice and digital mediums.

-I have been involved in a national LARP group (Amtgard) and have been one of their regional spokespeople for the past 4yrs. Podcasting, internet, and live functions.

-I am planning on continuing professional training for VO and will strive to perfect my craft.
