My Voice Experience
I am a professional musician. Although I am just beginning my voice over career, I have created the music and voices for a number of movies (Ver, Oir y Callar, Mexico 2004), music videos (Fungus, A German Childrens Book 2010), and documentaries (Chulel Mexico 2007; Ecos Distantes Mexico 2010). I have also done numerous radio spots in Mexico since 2001. In a music review in 2010, Eric Funk, a famous composer from Bozeman, MT, wrote: "From operatic voice production to the guttural Louis Armstrong growl, Kiris singing is a theater of voice, at times revealing a 3- to 4-way conversation. I have a versatile voice and am motivated to explore new voices everyday for all different kinds of projects.
My Training
I attended the Sociedad de Autores y Compositores in Mexico from 2001-02. While I have attended numerous vocal training classes and workshops over the years, my distinguished and unusual vocal abilities are largely the result of endless hours of personal practice and experimentation.
My Studio Equipment
I have a professional voice microphone (Shure MS58), a Zoom Digital Recorder, Garage Band, and Audacity in my home studio. Because I record music from home, I am familiar with recording and editing sound to produce professional results.
Additional Skills
I have dedicated my life to composing, performing, and recording music. My voice has been described as one of the most versatile voices to come out of Mexico in recent years. While I am able to impersonate many common voices and sounds, my true passion is in exploring and creating new ones!
