Voice Description

Deep and smooth for any kind of narration or commercial. Can be warm and inviting or dry and professional, depending on the project.

One of my favorite voices is the bold, brash, well-enunciated machine-gun chatter of the 1920's horse-race commentator. "Aaaaannnnddd it's Honeybunch out in front, followed by Johnny's Pride, followed by Noble Steed, followed by..."

Sarcasm and/or dry humor is a specialty of mine, learned from several heavily-costumed theater productions.

Guy-next-door voice, always good for radio spots, sports announcing, etc.

For video games,cartoons, etc., I employ a wide variety of characters and accents. Russian, Irish, Scottish, French, and British (both Posh and Cockney) are among the most popular.

My Voice Experience

The heaviest costume I ever had to deliver lines from under was Gandalf the Grey, from The Hobbit.

Delivering Gandalf's dry, sarcastic jibes, his forceful commands, and even regular conversation from beneath the several pounds of costume I was wearing became an exercise in determination and talent, but my performance was greeted enthusiastically night after night.

I spent 5 years in community theater, before joining Northern Michigan University for Communications. I've since performed vocally for French Radio and instructional videos.
