Voice Description
My voice can range from wild excitement to the folksy neighbor next door. I also can do humor with just the right emphasis so the listener "gets" the joke.
My "Italian street guy" has landed me many gigs. He is believable and friendly and not threatening.
My narration skills may be my best quality. I love to tell a story and make small details come alive as if they were the most important information you will ever hear.

My Voice Experience
In my over twenty five years in this business, I have done so many types of voices. From the typical fast talking 'announcer' type that was the rage in the early 80's. (J.C. Penny's) to the very laid back sound of a vacationer in Mexico (Mexicana Airlines) to the movie/theater discription of "The Bugsy Malone Story". I have probably done more spots as the guy talking over the fence to his next door neighbor than any other type.
There is nothing like haveing to read and interpert copy in ten minutes and then goin the booth and impress a gaggle of suits. That kind of pressure is what makes a voice over talent.
My Training
As a kid, I would sit in my room and record commercials and then, with a shoe for a micraphone, I would do them over and over. That was probably my first training. I went on to attend many classes and workshops taught by various people in the business in the 80's. I just finished working with David Rosenthal for over a year. David is a highly sought after voice talent in the San Francisco Bay Area and also has been teaching through the Learning Annex as well as private sessions for veterans to keep your chops up. Training is an ongoing thing for me.
