My Voice Experience

During my eighteen years in Radio as a Classic Rock DJ in the San Antonio and Austin Markets, I spent countless hours in dusty Prod. rooms churning out local spots - Tags, :30's :60's. I had a four year run doing Imaging for a Clear Channel Radio Station in Shreveport L.A. - KVKI.
Since leaving Clear Channel, the past four years have been peppered with various jobs, including almost two years with an online voice over provider. Currently, I have an on going gig providing phone messaging for the Insurance, Real Estate, and Dental industries.

In 1991 while attending Sam Houston State University, Jonna began her career in radio, cracking her first mic on campus. Paying her dues at KVST, she began work in the production department where she honed her skills and talent. Moving to San Antonio in 1994, she started work at KZEP, four years later Jonna worked for COX on Magic 105.3 and KISS radio intermittently. From 1998 to 2009 you could hear Jonna on the airwaves of Austin Texas, where she had a long stint at Clear Channel on Z102, then at the legendary KLBJ. All the while spending countless hours in dusty prod rooms churning out :30’s , :60’s , and tags.

After working towards her BFA at SHSU in Theatre, and completing a Minor Degree in Radio/Television/Film, Jonna continued her stage work by constantly taking acting and voice classes. Her instructors included Janice Dean, Mona Lee, Babs George, Lainie Frasier,and Guy Roberts; studying various acting techniques, improve, and Shakespeare. Jonna was part of a children’s theatre troupe in San Antonio where she played a range of characters from the “Evil Queen “ to “Flopsy”. She has also participated in community theatre in both San Antonio and Austin.

My Spanish skills are very strong as long as the project is in a short form read, ie., Tag's for Bilingual Health Care, or :30 Sec. Soft Sell Spanish spots..how's that for alliteration..

Turnaround Time is 3 hours for most copy.

If a client requests me for a long form read, I would ask for more time.

I understand the importance of the deadline.
