Voice Description

VACATION NOTICE: OUT of TOWN from 8/6 thru 8/10.

My voice is most described as natural, easy on the ears and charismatic/alluring.It has a musical quality to it. It is tenor range, just above bass, though I can get much dynamic range from it up to a fairly high alto pitch without compromising its better qualities. Pronunciation and diction is very clear. I can provide quick-paced delivery accurately or slower-paced oratory without becoming monotonous. Germanic, British, Irish/Gaelic, British, French, Indian, Southern (N. America), Scandanavian accents are available. I can sing, as well.

My Voice Experience

HOME-As a recording and performing musician I am very familiar with the studio environment. This is where I feel very comfortable. I have done audio books and radio commercials both as voice-over talent and as a singer/performer. When required, I can ad lib well. I take direction very well and I am always fun and easy to work with.I record often in my home - studio as well.

My Training

I come from the watch it/ now, do it school of voice over talent. Mt trials -by-fire were actually very productive and very natural for me. I had taken a 2 month long workshop in both jingle work and engineering early on. These sessions provided me with daily microphone time. This helped me become comfortable with the ways of the studio world.

Studio Projects C3 mic, AT 3035 mic, SM57, Beta 58a, Oktava MK-319, SP VTP-1 tube pre, ART tube pre, Fostex digital recorders, multiple digital effects processors, noise gates and compressor/limiters. Mac and PC formats.

Additional Skills

Other gifts I bring to the table- inpromptu improvisation when necessary for any voice work, ability to create characters with specific personality traits and accents, I memorize fairly well, I can vary the sound of my voice enough to create more than one unique character (This has come in handy when another's performance is wanting or when time and money are particularly tight).
