Voice Description

My voice is, above all, inviting and easy to listen to. I am a bass and have done a lot of 'sexy' and authoritative stuff - as people often think befits a low voice. But I think my defining characteristic is the kind of natural sound which comes from many years of experience and refinement. In other words, the polish is well-hidden - I make it sound easy, no matter what the copy.

Additional Skills

I am very well-read and a pretty good writer and copyeditor, which I find can help quite a bit in my ability to convey the desired sense. Frequently these days, people who are responsible for writing copy aren't very experienced in writing stuff to-be-spoken aloud - copywriting is just another responsibility among many. So I often cut alternate versions of things if I think it might be helpful or if the client requests it - in addition to the 'as-written' version, of course.

I'm currently in a Berlitz-style (Latin American) Spanish language program. Not fluent yet, but that is my goal.
I am also a life-long musician, and so have an inate feel for pacing.
