My Voice Experience

Jonathan Howard

Voice Artist

Jonathan began his voice over career in radio in the UK in the late 1980’s.
Working at both Southern Sound Radio on the south coast and Radio Mercury near Gatwick in Surrey, he quickly developed and assisted in campaigns for British Telecom, American Express and British Airways. He was regularly chosen by the biggest agency in south of England, TABS (The Advertising Bureau Service).

In the early 1990’s he co founded Telecommunications Audio Services, the first company dedicated to the production of “on hold” advertising and music on hold services in the UK. This led to a number of successful campaigns and a complete revolution in the telephony medium.

By the late 1990’s Jonathan continued to be involved in prestigious productions, particularly at Shepperton Studios in London, where he worked with Ridley Scott on a number of voice related projects.

He narrated several audio books, corporate audiovisual presentations and TV trailers for Granada and the BBC.

Jonathan’s voice forte is upper class English accents, but is equally at home with provincial and cockney accents. He is particularly skilled in deep voices.

Upon achieving his dream of living and working in the U.S.A in 2004, Jonathan now lives just outside New York City in Westchester County, New York.
