Voice Description

I have been doing voiceover full time for 15 years predominantly for movie trailers and network promos. As a fun fact, before home studios, I was actually at all 6 networks in one day... even Don LaFontaine never did that as I liked to tease him about.
I was the voice of The Disney Channel Original Movies for years, so I am obviously versatile, and not all action/drama.

As far as vocal range/performance, I lighten it up for The Family Guy promos and I use the lower/dramatic range for CSI:

For commercials, though, my Second City training comes out and I can be much lighter and more comedic with my acting.

For presentations, I can be smooth and professional or "selly", whatever the copy calls for.

My Training

I was in radio starting at the age of 18 in Champaign, IL.
A brief stint in Columbus, OH and then I was back home to Chicago. This time around, I finished my marketing degree, did Second City, and worked at The Loop and Rock 103.5 radio stations. I moved out to LA at the age of 24 to pursue my dream of doing voice over. As a result, I have been doing professional voice over for 15 years, but I started young, so I have MANY more years to enjoy!!

My Studio Equipment

I have an ISDN-ready studio with a Sennheiser 416 and a Neumann U87 microphone (depending on your preference), a Grace pre-amp, and a Telos XStream Codec Box. I have the ability to email or post an audio file on an FTP site, as well.
I can generate AIF, WAV, mp3, and I have SourceConnect... whatever you need.
