My Voice Experience

I began my voiceover experience at 15 years old when I was hired by my hometown Virginia radio station to cut some PSA commercials. Soon after, I was offered a job as a weekend radio announcer. After majoring in Communications and Theatre in college, I returned to that radio station to be an advertising consultant. This gave me the opportunity to create ad campaigns for my clients, which included copy writing, voicing in-store ads, seasonal and story-style commercials. When I moved to New York City, I worked for DMB&B and had the opportunity to do some test commmercials for P&G Crest and Pampers. For several training videos geared toward NYC teenagers, I have done TV voiceover (end of credits) and singing as well as a show feature in Food Network production on Chef Kathleen Daeleman's Cooking Thin.

Due to my background in theatre and singing, I have always enjoyed the challenges and fun of using my voice; this definitely includes voiceover work.

Additional Skills

Due to over 20 years of theatre background, education and training, I will be able to provide the skills necessary to make my voice become what you need. Because I continue to train in theatre and voice as well as teach and train others, in addition to also being writer, I understand several things: how important copy is for voice talent and how the voice is an amazing and powerful tool to convey the range of human emotion. By just using rhythm, tone, and style, we can cause someone to laugh or to cry. I know my voice can get the job done regardless of the type of recording you need.
