My Voice Experience

John has voiced radio and television commercials for Johnson Reels, Target, Mn Lottery, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Rocky Mtn. News, BMW, Cub Foods, Fizzoli's, Kemp's, BASF, Northwest Airlines, and the late Senator Wellstone campaign for US Senate.

My Training

John was lured from being a Theatre and Speech Communications major at the U. of MN directly into a professional comedy theatre company. There he wrote and performed satirical reviews for several years before realizing that a segue into voicework would mean no nights or weekend work. This was a good thing. And though the theatre helped with developing characters, listening, taking direction, there are no residuals in theatre.

Additional Skills

John is a voice coach and teaches a class in use of the voice for commercials, narrations and public speaking. He speaks a little Spanish, does dialects, and has done a lot of fast-talking radio tags.
