My Voice Experience

Although a (relative) newcomer to the voiceover trade, I am proud of the work I have been lucky enough to have had produced. I narrated Great Books: The Jungle, voicing the words of Upton Sinclair, which aired on The Learning Channel, and which was produced by the Cronkite Ward Company in Washington, DC. Recently, I narrated the documentary Departing Rosewood, which was broadcast on Maryland Public TV, and which was produced by MedSchool Maryland Productions, in Baltimore, Maryland.

I also narrated a lengthy instructional video for the U.S. Army, on Generator Field Repair Instruction (U.S. Army Fort Belvoir Media Center), produced by Bara-King Photographic, Inc.

I have also voiced radio spots for the MarketPro Computer Expo, in my hometown of Rockville, Maryland, and I have enjoyed a multitude of small assignments including videos for Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, outgoing fundraising phone broadcast for the Arthritis Foundation, numerous presentation and promotional videos for Merkle, Inc., and others.

My Training

I studied with accomplished voiceover coach and producer John Burr, of Washington, D.C. In my youth I enjoyed performing as an actor and as a musician in a soft rock band, and later as a coffeehouse acoustic performer, singing and playing guitar.

I have long been employed in the marketing world as a creative director, copywriter, and graphic designer, and I understand the skill and perseverance required to craft the right sound, delivered with the right intonations. In my long career in creative services, I have learned to sweat the details.

My Studio Equipment

With easy access to the Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York markets, I prefer executing voiceovers for my clients in their facilities of choice, where I can receive immediate direction from producers. I do not currently record from a home studio.
