Voice Description

For years I've worked in sales engineering and have been the "go-to" guy for presentations and situations where others balked at public speaking. I have a deep, projecting voice that while some may consider me "loud", everyone can always hear me.

I do not do any impersonations so I would not be ideal for emulating anyone else per se, but my voice would be most ideal for cartoon villains, somber product endorsement, technical documentation, and dramatic deep delivery such as movie trailers, etc.

Difficult pronunciations are no problem. I am a former techinical writer for the software industry and ex instituional equity analyst, but I do have a sense of humor as well. :-)

My Voice Experience

As a former lead sales engineer for the fastest growing software company in history, I gave presentations from groups as small as 10 to as large as 6,000 - often without amplification. I currently still work in sales and often am able to utilize my voice to virtually close deals over the phone (it's impressive what a strong voice will do - honestly).

While I have yet to build a long list of experience in voice-over, I can supply recommendations from several individuals in the entertainment industry who have insisted I become active in this arena and on this website.

My Training

While I do not have any formal voice modulation training, I have been trained in public speaking in undergraduate classes at the University of Virginia as well as undergraduate classes at the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. I have currently been speaking publicly & professionally for over a decade now.
