My Voice Experience
Newscaster at WRAS-FM, the 100,000 watt student-run radio station at Georgia State University. Announcer at WPCF-AM/FM in Panama City Beach, Florida. Recorded voice tracks for commercials and promos for WMBB-TV in Panama City, Florida.
My Training
B.A. in Journalism from Georgia State University. Minor in Speech with emphasis in public speaking. Completed Commercial Voice-Over class taught by Judith Sullivan in 2004. Class provided inspiration to join Georgia Radio Reading Service (GaRRS). Also completed Voice-Over class at yourAct (sic) in Atlanta. Class was taught by Della Cole, and included instruction on various delivery styles. Class also included production of voice-over demo.
My Studio Equipment
Have working relationship with Doppler Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. I do not have my own studio, but I do own a 17-inch MacBook Pro with Final Cut Studio Suite. Software includes Soundtrack Pro 3. I also have Adobe Audition CS5.5. Also own Samson CO1U USB condenser microphone. I do not have a phone patch or ISDN, but can record and send short projects from home as MP3, WAVE or AIFF. Am happy to discuss such assignments on case-by-case basis.
Would require the use of a professional studio for extensive work, so that outside noises (traffic, etc.) would not interfere with the recording process. Again, will discuss on case-by-case basis.
In addition, I use Adobe Audition 2.0 to record and edit material at the Georgia Radio Reading Service.
