My voice is very distinctive. When I speak, I always recieve positive reactions and responses from my live audience performances. They say thing s like , " when you read, I really get it." My voice is very deep and aticulate for narration. However, evidently I inherited a natural abilty for drama. I can say any line in a script in several ways to deliver impact whereever necessary. My voice can be descibed as smooth and professional for presentation or strong and authoritive for commercials.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

The Mr. Grinch song, although not a platinum hit, is one of my favorite fun songs to impersonate. Old men with cowboy accents and that nostalgic southern draw is also a voice style that I have perfected.

My Voice Experience

In this day of focus on home security in America, one of my first voiceover assignments was to produce a one hour training video for the government. As news anchor, I worked in radio for several stations for approximately seven years. Also, I worked as a professional dee-jay for about ten years. While in radio, I produced commercial spots for many clients ranging from Insurance, automobile sales, products and services. Recentlty, I have been working with a number of local of local and national church ministries providing intro's and commercial for their Christian products and upcoming tours.

My Training

In 1979, I attended, graduated and recieved my certification from the Dallas School of Future Broadcasters Association. I attended various vocal training seminars and workshops for the expressed purpose of networking and gatherings industry tips on strengthening my vocal tools and contacts. Currently, I am a registered student at Dallas Baptist University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Christian Ministry degress. While their, I have studied classes in speech,journalism, communications, art, and english.

Generally, I have easy access to several local studios with extremely high quality equipment condusive to production of professional voice-over assignments.

Additional Skills

In conclusion, I am sort of a "perfectionist." I really make it my busines to really understand what it is tyhat the client is trying to achieve. In short, once I accept an assignment I am commited to doing whatever it takes to please the client.
