Voice Description
My voice has been descibed as soothing and wise. As an adult educator for most of my life, I have learned how to project my message with both authority and feeling. I do not yell, or boom, but I get my message across with confidence and knowledge.
My voice is smooth and professional and best suited for narration, presentations, or technical training. I always sound like I know what I'm talking about, and if you listen to me, you will too.

My Home Base
Norman, Oklahoma, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
My tonal quality goes from Midrange to low bass. My New York students say I talk too slow, my southern students say I talk too fast. I come from the South and can easily slip into a southern drawl, or Texas twang.
My Voice Experience
For the past 10 years I have been the voice of Postal Training on the web. I have narrated multimedia projects from the Defensive Driving Course to complex Computerized machinery Maintenance.
I also did the narration for a CD that was sent out nationwide to elemtary school children to teach them how to address their mail, and how their letters get sorted and delivered.
My Training
I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, to go along with my 26 years of experience in adult education. I earned a certificate of training (equivalent to a BS)from the University of Central Oklahoma. In addition, I took 3 semesters toward my masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma.
My Studio Equipment
I am recently retired from the Postal Service and have set up a home studio to match the equipment I used when I was employed. I have a quality microphone, software, and extensive sound editing experience. I also have access to a vast library of music and sound effects I have collected over the years.
Additional Skills
My skills also include script writing, instructional design, graphic design, and programming. I am intensely familiar with the Adobe/Macromedia family of software applications and how they can be used to create effective and interactive training. If you have a project that is starting from the ground up, or just needs a strong voice to finish it off, I can help.
