Voice Description

I have the ability to manipulate my voice to perform a wide variety of sounds. For example I am capable of imitating sounds, accents (both regional and international)such as Northern and Southern American, Austrailian, English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Russian, Japanese, French, Spanish and many others. I can speak well and my pronounciation is good. I do a very realistic impression of a pig's sound, as well as other animals. I can also impersonate characters such as Lord of the Rings' Gollum, The Simpsons' Chief Wiggum, Futurama's Dr Zoidberg, South Park's Mr Garrison, to name but a few.
I can also create my own voices and sounds, and I feel I am competant in doing so.

My Voice Experience

As a child I used to play pranks on my friends involving phonecalls and silly voices which actually helped me to be creative in thinking up new voices, because obviously I could not use the same one twice. Then as I got older I began to use my talents for good rather than evil. I utilised any voices I had learnt or any I'd created in drama performances, acting, and when I was in my late teens, in my film making classes.

My Training

I took out of school drama lessons as well as in school until I received my qualifications, I have been taught how to use my voice by an accomplished singing and vocals teacher.

Additional Skills

I can play the guitar, I have learnt how to sing. I will be graduating from University this year to receive my degree in Safety Health and Environmental Management.

I have done work experience at a school for children aged 5-11 , and I found my use of voices to amuse the children helped me a great deal in communicating with them, and in storytelling to the younger children.
