My Voice Experience

I do a weekly multi-character podcast from my home studio, I record and produce all of my own episodes. I really want to start in audio book narrations, but after my weekend class with Patrick Fraley, I have been assured that I should be doing much more. I am great with characters and I take direction very well. Although I have never had any formal acting training, I have since been informed that one wouldn’t know it. I record in .aff files and then after production I convert them into mp3.

My Training

I have done a course for podcasting called author boot camp, were I learned how to record and produce podcast episodes. I have since been doing it for a year. I also just finished a weekend work shop with Patrick Fraley, focused on character voicing and comedy.

My Studio Equipment

I currently use an H2 zoom digital recorder and then I use audacity to edit and produce the final copy. I live close to many recording studios, and I am willing to make arrangements to record at one of them if required.

Additional Skills

I am member of the VAOC, and I attend the communities meetings. I can adapt to the voice that you want to hear, and I am very good at taking direction. I have an ear for dialects and accents, and almost always can copy it with very little effort. I have a strong back ground in commercial construction, and safety. I teach employees on various subjects relating to but not limited to safety and job site awareness. I am familiar with all of the terminology used in construction and safety. I currently estimate large mechanical construction projects and administer our company’s safety policy.
